A LITTLE HELP

Back to making memories.

Questions about Hello From, purchase trouble, or something that isn’t working? Let’s sort it out.

Say hello

Email hello@joshuatonga.com for help with Hello From.

Include your iPhone model, iOS version, app version, and what happened. You can find the app version in Hello From’s Settings under About. A description or screenshot is usually enough; you do not need to send your private original photos.

Restore Pro

Open Settings in Hello From and tap Restore Purchases. You can also restore from the Pro offer screen. Use the Apple Account that originally purchased Pro and make sure you have an internet connection. Restoring does not charge you again.

If a purchase is awaiting approval, Pro will unlock when the App Store confirms it. If payment completed but Pro has not appeared, try Restore Purchases before buying again. Restoring Pro restores paid access; it does not restore a deleted postcard collection.

Find or import a photo

  • If a photo is stored in iCloud, connect to the internet and open it in Photos so the original can download.
  • If you allowed access to selected photos, use Manage selected photos in the gallery to make more available.
  • If Photos access is denied, Choose a single photo opens the system picker. You can also change access through Hello From’s Settings → Permissions.
  • Check that your iPhone has free storage for the original photo and your postcard.

Add a place or date

Some photos do not include location or date details. Open Place & date in the postcard editor to enter them yourself or place a map pin. Look for photo details can check for information available in Photos; with limited access, you may need to allow that photo first.

For new camera photos, enable Add current place and allow foreground location access. Place searches, map images, and missing map previews may need an internet connection. If a map fails to load, reconnect and try again.

Share or save a postcard

Tap Share postcard, choose Story or Feed, then use Share to… or Save to Photos. If saving is denied, allow Hello From to add photos in iOS Settings, or use Share to… to save the image elsewhere.

To use a postcard in a social app’s Story, save it to Photos and choose it from that app. Hello From does not post automatically. Collage and map postcard exports require Pro.

Print a little keepsake

In the share preview, choose Print · Pro, then select 4 × 6 inches, A6, or 5 × 7 inches. Export PDF… lets you save to Files or print through the system share sheet. Save print image creates a 300 ppi JPEG in Photos. Both print export options require Pro.

Print at 100% or Actual Size with Fit to Page turned off. Choose the matching paper size and cut along the trim marks when using an A4 or US Letter sheet. A small or heavily cropped original may look soft in print. Hello From prepares files for home printing; it does not print or mail physical postcards.

Delete a postcard or keep a copy

Open a saved postcard in the editor, scroll to Delete postcard, and confirm. This removes the postcard and its app-owned photo copies. The original in Photos and any exports you saved remain in your library.

Hello From has no cloud sync or backup service. Deleting the app removes its local collection, so save postcards to Photos or Files before removing it. Those exports are finished images, not editable backups. Apple device backups may include app data according to your iCloud and device settings.
